Konvicted by Akon Rap, Feat. Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Styles P.

The new hit CD "Konvicted" by Akon is,in my opinion, Akon's best work ever. "Konvicted" contains multiple songs that have recently been on or near the top of MTV and Yahoo charts, and many other songs that are also very good. Akon has many interesting and catchy songs on this CD, "Konvicted" such as "Smack That", "I Wanna Love You", and many others that I will review later in the article. This is a very gangster CD with music from other rappers such as Eminem, also known as "Slim Shady" who was brought out of retirement after 5 top-selling CD's to help Akon perform the hit song of this CD, the song "Smack That" and is now being featured on other artists albums like he was before his retirement due to the success of this song. Snoop Dogg, another well known rapper with many succesful CD's, and Styles P., and up and coming rapper are also featured on " Konvicted".

Here I have included a list of the songs found on "Konvicted" followed by a rating and my opinion of each song. These are all good songs and you should try to sample them all, but if you can't then hopefully my review will still convince you to buy the CD.

1. "Shake Down" - I give this song a 8.5/10 because it is catchy and is a great introduction to the album with interesting lyrics and a deep tone.

2. "Blown Away" feat. Styles P. - I give this song a 6/10 because it didn't really stick out at all to me but it was a decent song that I am sure other people would probably enjoy more than I did.

3. "Smack That" Feat. Eminem- I give this song a perfect 10/10. This song is reason enough to buy the whole album. It is a great song and has been on the top of the charts for a long time. It has one of the catchiest rhythms and melodies ever, and also has very interesting lyrics. If you listen to just one song on this album, make sure it is this one. 4. "I Wanna love You"feat. Snoop Dogg- I give this song a 9.5/10 because it isn't as good as "Smack That, but it is a very good song and is near the top of the charts. It will probably continue to rise and be a chart' topper, and is very catchy and Snoop Dogg does a great job in this song along with Akon.

5. "The Rain"- I give this an 8/10 because even though it is a slower song, the lyrics are very interesting, and it is catchy.

6. "Never Took The Time"- I give this song a 5/10 because it isn't a bad song, but I didn't personally like it.

7. "Mama Africa"- Same thing here. I didn't like this song, but I don't think that there's anything wrong with it so I give it a 5/10.

8. "I Can't Wait"- I give this song a 7.5/10 because it is a pretty good song and it has a catchy beat and melody.

9. "Gangsta Bop" I give this song a 9/10 because it has interesting lyrics, a catchy beat, and it is a good song. This is my personal favorite on the CD other than Smack That, and i would advise you to sample this song.

10. "Tired Of Runnin'"- I give this song a 7/10 because it has very deep, interesting lyrics and a good sound.

11. "Once In A While"-I give this song an 8/10 because it is a good song that most people would like. It has godd beat, rythm, lyrics, and melody, and is a pretty good song that is one of my top five favorites on this CD.

12. "Don't Matter"- I give this song an 8/ 10 because it is a great closing song and it has a great sound. This song is also one of my top five favorite songs on "Konvicted".

Conclusion: I had fun reviewing this CD and listening to the music, and I also had fun learning about Akon's criminal background and what his life was like when he lived in Africa. I would like to go further into this, but unfortunately this is a review of his CD, not his biography. If you would like to learn more about Akon, type his name into any search engine and you will get lots of interesting results. Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that Konvicted is a very good CD, and if this is your kind of music, you should definitely go pick this up. If this isn't really your style of music, give it a chance and maybe an artist as good as Allaune "Akon" Thiam will change your mind. I give the album a near-perfect 9/10.by: David Galllaher
