Let's Go Dream Team is a variety show where different personalities compete against each other in various physical and mental contests. There are times when they are pitted individually, by pairs or even by groups and whoever wins will receive trophies, recognition and other possible prizes.
It's understandable that you'd most likely say that it's pretty much similar to sports and physical competition programs that we see on TV but what does it have that makes it unique? Well, the guests are usually famous personalities and they make it in a way that they are grouped, paired or matched in very interesting ways. Just imagine radio announcers competing against singers or TV news anchors versus members of idol groups. At some point, they do invite sports personalities from different genres such as mixed martial arts, taekwondo, and such.
Most of the games are physical contests and some of them include mental games such as mathematics and puzzles. Most of them really need physical skills and strength but a lot of them are really simple. Just like the episode almost 2 weeks ago where female TV personalities (anchors and announcers) competed against female idols. The female idols won courtesy of f(x)'s Krystal.
The last event was a running competition where they had to run roughly a whole basketball court distance. At the end, they have to answer a simple math problem and run back. What's the catch? There is a huge (but safe) device that will lock them in if they don't make it in time. In some games, they incorporate a bit from Korean culture which makes it more interesting like foods, places, etc.
I have watched a number of episodes of Let's Go Dream Team and they're all good. Sometimes, some of the games are repeated and they compare results from previous competitors. They keep track of who did the best in a certain game and future guests often try to beat the top scores.
For fans of Korean Variety Shows and artists/personalities-alike, it's probably very interesting for them since it probably has their idols as guests. I'm also a fan and it's really nice to see them play against each other and basically have fun. It gets even more exhilarating when they really become competitive. However, to be fair, in the point of view of a non-fan, it's probably going to be a generic or a common show that won't promise much aside from the games themselves.
