Kraft Philadelphia Cracker Spreads: A Review

Candice W.
While shopping in the dairy section the other day my eyes ran across a new product, Kraft Philadelphia Cracker Spreads. I just so happened to have regular cream cheese in my shopping basket, but this new product was intriguing enough to consider picking up instead.

I looked over the four varieties of Cracker Spreads: Cheddar with Monterey Jack, Parmesan with Garlic & Herbs, White Cheddar with Roasted Red Pepper and Pepperjack with Jalapeno. They all looked good, but I chose the Pepperjack with Jalapeno because I was in the mood for some cheese with a spicy kick.

What attracted me to the product was the colorful packaging. They definitely had eye-catching appeal.

At first I thought the cheese might be too thick and sticky, but it wasn't. I first tried the cheese spread on a few crackers. It was very easy to spread the Cracker Spreads on the cracker. A small amount went a long way because the cheese was very flavorful.

I could taste the pepperjack flavor, but it was a little difficult to taste any hint of jalapeno while eating the spread on the thick crackers I had. When I tasted the spread by itself it was easier to taste the full flavor.

I wanted to find out how the spread would taste on a warm buttery biscuit as I like to eat biscuits with cream cheese from time to time. This seemed like the perfect combo for a breakfast meal.

Once again the Philadelphia Cracker Spreads was easy to spread on biscuits. The spread was sensitive to the warmth of the biscuits so it kind of melted and absorbed creating a cheesy biscuit treat.

The cheese tasted even better on the biscuit. I suggest everyone that purchases this product try this cheese spread on warm biscuits or English muffins. You'll truly appreciate the flavor even more. Also thin crackers are best when eating this product.

Kraft Philadelphia Cracker Spreads spreadable cheese comes in a 6.5 ounce tub and costs about $2.50. It's available at grocery stores in the dairy section among the cheeses.

For the pepperjack flavor each two tablespoon sized serving is 90 calories, 70 calories from fat. Each serving has 8 grams of fat, 25 mg of cholesterol, 160 mg of sodium and 1 gram of carbohydrates. Not too bad if eaten in moderation.

Overall I give Kraft Philadelphia Cracker Spreads two thumbs up. This is especially good for someone that is a cheese lover like me. It's easy to fix a quick snack with Philadelphia Cracker Spreads and it's delicious to eat.
