Overall I think Kris Allen is an exceptional singer, the way he interacts with the crowd, his persona and his good looks can please anyone watching. I think he takes the criticism of the judges as he should, with open arms and an open mind. They are only there to guide him into becoming the star he has dreamed of. The industry is rough and it takes a strong willed person to stay sane. Now onto the performance Tuesday which was Cinema Week and he sang Falling Slowly, a song not popular to some. With this type of song choice, unless you are absolutely comfortable with the stage and the crowd cannot tell you are nervous, was a bad choice. I feel he sang great in some parts of the song, but mostly
felt him struggling with his stage presence, he seemed to be thinking too much on what he was doing and what he would do next. He seems to do this each week, and to me I don't think he has what it takes to stay in the competition, however I do feel like after the American Idol tour he will move on to great things. A true performer takes ownership of
the stage and can make a song their own without making it so technical.

I feel He should stay in the competition for another week, and with the judges using their save on him it looks like he will get another chance. I just hope he understands if he is truly passionate in what he wants to do in life than he needs to find himself this week and work hard on what he is comfortable with so he can give the audience the "WOW" factor to keep him in the competition. I feel all the contestants fall into the "judge" hole and put too much thought and effort into what critique them on, all they need to do is listen and use the advise only when needed.
