Kris Allen's 'Ain't No Sunshine' Sets Mark on American Idol

Kris Allen showed up on Tuesday night when the bulk of the other competitors decided to play it safe or hand in a sub-par performance. This young man continues to show that he has a star in his future and puts on a great show week after week.

Kris chose to play the piano and sing "Ain't No Sunshine" and he could not have made a better decision or given a better performance. As far as talent goes, it is easy to say that he is second to none. He plays several instruments and flat out knows how to make an arrangement his. Furthermore, he can hit every high note in the book and when he has to dig down deep, he carries it off without a hitch.

Kris always tends to get the girls going and can definitely play to the crowd, and tonight's performance was more of the same. He started the song out very slow and passionate and then managed to get the tempo up for a brief moment and capture everyone's attention. He gradually brought the song back down and did not miss a note during the entire time.

If Kris continues on the path that he rode down tonight, it is going to be hard to see anyone beating him. The difference between him and the other competitors is that he delivers night in and night out and there is not one other person on the show that has taken the chances that he has and delivered the quality performances that he has.

It may be a little early to hand over the crown, but it is pretty easy to imagine Kris as the next American Idol. He has the look, he has the talent and he definitely has the stage presence to walk away with the title at the end of the season.
