Kris Allen's American Idol Performance

The American Idol stage is set. The theme of the night, America's Top 40. The night full of karaoke-themed and monotonous performances of artists like The Fray, Usher and No Doubt, made Kris Allen's performance upon stage a refreshing sight to see and sound to hear.

Unlike the usual Kris Allen you have grown accustom to, guitar behind back, and shy boy attitude, he stood last night behind an electric keyboard with powerful vocals and a confidant swagger about him. The powerful vocals were dead-on and the artistry he showed by breaking the mold and coming out sounding unlike any other, definitely, in my opinion, will have kept him from the bottom three, tonight.

Kris Allen, always humble, stood tall and confidant displaying his musical talent by performing a fresh mix of the Bill Wither's hit, "Aint no Sunshine." The mix was modern, hip and really got the judge's dancing. The reviews from the panel were all positive, and Kris proved that putting a little of yourself into the music, and not resorting to "copy-cat" beats really do provide a fresh and positive outcome.

As the credits rolled, the viewer's began placing thier votes, one night closer to meeting thier new 2009 American Idol.
