Kris Humphries a Second Stringer for Both the New Jersey Nets and Kim Kardashian

New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries has lost his starting role with the team, but he apparently has gained the affection of none other than celebrity sex tape star Kim Kardashian.

For the first time in his short NBA career, Humphries has played as a starter this season; the University of Minnesota alum has started sixteen straight games for the struggling Nets.

This will change, however, as Nets head coach Avery Johnson announced this week that when injured rookie Derrick Favors recovers, which he is expected to do within days, Humphries will be bumped from the starting lineup to make way for him.

Humphries, 25 and in his seventh season in the NBA, reacted to the news in a professional manner, saying, "It's not something that I can really worry about", but being a second stringer on the New Jersey Nets, who are 6 and 17 this season, is not exactly the spot that every NBA player entering his prime dreams about.

But not long after the news broke about Humphries losing his starting role, it was reported that Humphries and Kardashian seem to be an item. On first blush, this might be seen as great news for Humphries as he deals with his on court demotion. But, even in his personal life it would seem, Humphries is dealing with being a 'plan b'.

Kardashian, of course, dated the far more famous and far more successful professional athlete Reggie Bush last year. The two were even rumored to be heading to the chapel if Bush's New Orleans Saints team won the Super Bowl. The star crossed lovers did not, however, and despite several series of rumors suggesting that they might get back together, Kardashian and Bush seem now to be separated for good.

Since then, Kardashian has been linked to Kanye West (in fact, it was rumored last week that Kardashian was pregnant with his baby), Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Miles Austin, and Halle Barry's ex Gabriel Aubry.

Kardashian was even married once, to music producer Damon Thomas. And, of course, she made a celebrity sex tape with R&B star, and Brandy's brother, Ray J.

While most people go through multiple relationships in their lives before hopefully finding the 'right one', Kim Kardashian has had a romantic life over the last several years that most probably don't have in an entire life.

And now Kris Humphries enters Kim Kardashian's life; you couldn't blame the guy if he felt as if he was playing second string in both his professional and personal lives at this point.
