Kris Jenner Talks About Her Affair and Divorce

Kris Jenner will do anything to sell copies of her book, even if it means revisiting the affair that destroyed her family.

Kris might be annoyed at how much all the Kim Kardashian divorce drama is hogging the headlines right now -- after all, she's got a book to sell and doesn't want to waste all of her valuable interview time talking about what's going on in Kim's life. So what better way to keep the attention on herself than by talking about her own divorce?

Kris sat down with Jay Leno to talk about her new book, a memoir that explores her friendship with Nicole Brown Simpson and how she felt about her attorney ex-husband's infamous client O.J. Simpson. However, Kris made the very calculated move of using her time on "The Tonight Show" to talk about the demise of her marriage instead.

According to Kris Jenner, she cheated on her ex Robert Kardashian when she was 30 years old. The young mother was already suffering from a mid-life crisis, which isn't surprising -- Kim Kardashian seems to have inherited her fear of getting older.

Kris had been with Robert since she was just 18, and he was the first guy she ever dated. So since she knows how hard rushing into something serious can be, perhaps she should have questioned Kim Kardashian about rushing to the altar so soon after meeting Kris Humphries (then again, the dollar signs in front of her eyes probably stopped her from seeing what a disaster that could end up being).

Kris Jenner started having an affair with a Hollywood producer named Ryan during her "mid-life crisis." According to the momager, the two of them "had wild sex everywhere, all the time" (talk about TMI!). And you know what Kris is thinking now -- it's just a shame that she never made a sex tape with her lover so that she could have gotten famous when she was a little bit younger.

Kris Jenner now calls the affair the greatest regret of her life, but maybe she just regrets getting caught -- Robert Kardashian had his wife followed, which is how he found out about the affair (interestingly enough, O.J. Simpson also had someone spy on her pal Nicole Brown). And of course Kris Jenner and her hubby split soon afterward, devastating Kim and her sisters.

So has Kim Kardashian inherited her mother's relationship troubles? It certainly seems that way, but Kim shouldn't be too worried -- after all, her mother did eventually find an athlete to settle down with.
