With the next installment of the smash-hit "Twilight" films set to debut in a couple of weeks, 21-year-old Kristen Stewart has been busy giving interviews about her experience shooting "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," including what it was like to shoot sex scenes with her off-screen beau and co-star Robert Pattinson. The film franchise that put Stewart on the map will soon come to a close, but Stewart has a few projects lined up.
She'll close out a major portion of her professional resume to date, perform in a film adaptation of a classic American novel, and she'll step into yet another famous role. It would appear that this young star has quite a bright future ahead of her. So what exactly is on the horizon for the brunette bombshell?
The End of an Era - Much like the stars of the "Harry Potter" series, Stewart will see a film franchise that launched her career come to a close with next year's conclusion of the series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." What sets Kristen apart from the "Potter" peeps is that there's very little speculation as to whether she is so identified with the "Twilight" series that her role option will be diminished. Throughout the life of the franchise, she's still managed to get a steady stream of work with various types of roles.
The Beat Goes On - Next year, Kristen will star in a drama set in the days of the Beat Generation. "On the Road" will also feature Kirsten Dunst, "Boardwalk Empire" star Steve Buscemi, and "Mad Men" actress Elisabeth Moss. The story was originally told in a book written by Beat Generation icon, Jack Kerouac and is regarded as a seminal piece of modern American literature.
Playing an Icon - By now, obviously Kristen is used to playing high-profile roles in imaginative and fantastical stories. Currently she's filming "Snow White and the Huntsman," which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2012. The story is a take on the classic story of the princess who is ensnared in an evil-plot by her wicked queen of a stepmother. Kristen will play the title role of Snow White, and starring opposite her as the Huntsman is Chris Hemsworth, whom you may recognize as Thor from "The Avengers."
Maybe a Ring? - Yes, this is total speculation, and maybe they just aren't "that" kind of couple, but with the "Twilight" movies out of the way, Kristen and her boyfriend Robert Pattinson may not have many more projects that will keep them so close to each other as they were during their filming of the vampire films that brought them together in the first place. Maybe to compensate for this lack of personal time together, we will see the two get engaged?
