Kristen Storms: What General Hospital Has or Hasn't Done for Her

In 2004, Kristen Storms left Days of Our Lives, where she played Belle Black. She was loved by Days of Our Lives fan and regularly showed, as being the daughter of one of the show's "supercoules." After leaving Days of Our Lives, Kristen Storms joined the cast of the Clubhouse, which aired on CBS. Unfortunately, only five episodes of the Clubhouse aired. At the time, many Kristen Storm fans wondered if she would return to Days or Our Lives. After all, she would likely be welcomed back with open arms by fans, but that wasn't what happened. In 2005, Kristen Storms joined the cast of General Hospital.

When it was announced that Kristen Storms was taking over the role of Maxie Jones on General Hospital, the internet chatter was mixed. Many fans enjoyed her portrayal of Belle Black on Days of Our Lives, but would the same be said for General Hospital fans? It is also important to mention that Storms was taking over the role from the great Robyn Richard, who played Maxie Jones for over ten years. Fans who watched Robyn Richards grow up on their screens would be a tough crowd to sell, but it appears as if that sold was made. For the most part, General Hospital fans are pleased with the performance of Kristen Storms, although many do not enjoy her character.

When Kristen Storms's Maxie Jones arrived on screen, she was automatically thrust into the opportunity of the lifetime. That opportunity involved a storyline revolving around the "famous," heart transplant. If you are a fan of General Hospital, you likely know that, as a child, the character of Maxie Jones received a heart transplant from her cousin, BJ. This is a story that sometimes brings tears to the eyes of fans who witnessed it play out. Although her performance wasn't necessarily "award winning," Kristen Storms did win the heart of many fans. Since that time; however, her character turned evil so to say.

After having her life turned upside down, the heart incident and the death of her boyfriend, the character of Maxie Jones set her sight on one of Port Charles's heartthrobs, Lucky Spencer, who at the time was married to Elizabeth Webber. After helping him feed his pain killer addition for sex, fans were left spinning. The current storyline has her faking a pregnancy and likely planning a false miscarriage. Although fans now dislike the character of Maxie Jones, they are still impressed with her portrayer, Kristen Storms. She has successful nailed down many emotions, including insane, romantic, and heartbroken. Although it is hard to imagine, this is something that is difficult for many daytime performers to do.

As for whether or not she found out if the grass is greener on the other side, it appears as if she has. With more challenging storylines than what she was given on Days of Our Lives, it appears if Kristen Storms made the right decision, at least many of her fans think that she did.
