And besides, how can parents relate to their children's pastimes these days?
Ferndale's Kulick Community Center is striving to address this dilemma with a series of Family Fun Night activities. The next free session is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the center, 1201 Livernois.
Imagine Bill Cosby packing his Huxtable children into the family vehicle, and the laughs that may ensue as the different generations learn what make one another tick. Family Fun Night features everything from old-fashioned board games to newfangled video games.
Who knows? Maybe Mom or Dad will learn what Wii and Xbox 360 are all about?
Not all activities are sedentary. There are plenty of baskets to shoot at in the Kulick Community Center gymnasium.
