As you gain levels and increase your belt rank; you open up new areas, access new games and gain the ability to purchase and wear different styles of kung fu clothing.
You choose from 3 kung fu styles to begin you game. You can be a panda, a tiger or a monkey. All can be male or female and you choose from any of a number of combinations that changes the look of your character. Face, body, clothing, colors and name are all options you will have when creating your online player.
You can become a kung fu master as you play your way through the site. You achieve new belt ranks by playing different kinds of games that are found throughout the world. There are three types of games; power games, speed games and cleverness games. You earn chi points for playing games and you also get them for finding hidden objects and for achievements.
This game allows your children to interact and play with other online players in a safe environment. The chat is filtered and monitored and behavior is also monitored. Players are allowed to use a chat menu to say predetermined phrases unless the parent opens up the option for open chat entry. There is also a menu of emotes that lets the characters dance, jump and express themselves.
Another way the kids get to interact is in the mini games. Some games allow you to invite other players to play with you or against you. You can add other players to your friends list and transport to them or ask them to come play with you.
One feature I really like is the ability to have multiple character profiles on one account. This would allow more than one child to have access for the monthly charge. At present, the game allows 3 different characters but it appears that will be expanded in the future.
Membership costs are $5.95 a month; or you can get a discount for purchasing a 6 or 12 month membership. Because Kung Fu Panda World is a browser based online game; there is nothing to download and nothing to install on your computer.Resources:
