Kurt Warner Will Be the X-Factor on Super Bowl Sunday

Even though the media doesn't say it, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals are more evenly matched up than people think.

Yes, the Steelers have the best defense in the NFL lead by the Defensive Player of the Year James Harrison. Yes, the Steelers are no strangers to post season play and the Super Bowl for that matter, but the Cardinals have consistently proved they can beat anyone that has come in their way of making history.

Big Ben Roethlisberger is a great quarterback. He is tough, motivated and already has a Super Bowl ring, but Kurt Warner is a hall of famer.

He may be older and possibly on the downside of his career, but he is a proven winner and has fought adversity the whole way through.

Back when Warner was with the St. Louis Rams he had a lot going for him. As arguably the best quarterback in the NFL at the time Warner had an entire arsenal of offensive weapons to work with. Two dynamic wide receivers in Torry Holt and Issac Bruce and a hall of fame running back in Marshall Faulk. Although some might argue that Warner had it too easy with these weapons around him, these players wouldn't have been as good as they were without Warner.

After the Rams years, Warner did struggle in his backup roles in both New York and Arizona, but the second he had the chance to lead the Cardinals with players like Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald and Edgerrin James around him it was the good old days again for the former NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion.

No other quarterback in the league is more poised in the pocket with a blitzing defense headed straight for him. Warner has the uncanny ability to turn a defenses strength into their weakness. When the Steelers through James Harrison and Troy Polamalu at Warner, he will find ways to hurt them.

The Steelers defense is incredibly tough, but Warner has a very good chance of getting the best of them Super Bowl Sunday with the help of his talented backfield and wide receivers. Not only will the Cardinals have an advantage with their powerful offense, but their head coach has a significant advantage knowing all the ins and outs of the Pittsburgh Steelers after being in their organization for five seasons.

Ken Whisenhunt was a big part of the Steelers throughout his five seasons with the team. First being a tight end coach then getting the bump up to offensive coordinator where is really struck a cord with Arizona Cardinals who eventually gave him the head coaching position. With his knowledge of the Pittsburgh offense better than any coach in the league, the Cardinals have an upper hand on handling Big Ben on Sunday.

Although it should be a great game, in the end, Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals will be hoisting the Lombardi trophy to complete one of the biggest underdog NFL stories in the league's history!
