a sports car or even a
collectable piece but
you do not really know
where to start?
Well, one of the best
ways to educate yourself
and gain valuable insights
about a specific make of
vehicle is to purchase
books that will guide
you through the buying
process.
For example, let's say
that you are interested
in owning a Porsche 911
or even a collectable 911.
Two resources that will
be very useful regarding
911s are provided below.
The money you spend
on informative guides
will be well worth the price because you will obtain a much better vehicle.
Additionally, such guides will go a long way in keeping you out of trouble
with excessive vehicle repairs after your purchase.
Regarding Porsche 911s, consider purchasing a copy of "Porsche 911
Buyer's Guide" 2nd Edition by Randy Leffingwell. The book covers
the original O Series 911 starting in 1965 up to the new 9A Series of
2009. The author has extensive knowledge of 911s. The back cover
of the book states, "With the Porsche 911 Buyer's Guide 2nd Edition,
author and photographer Randy Leffingwell has created the most com=
prehensive resource ever to guide you through the potential pitfalls of
purchasing one of these fabulous sports cars." This resources is priced
at $27.99.
The "Collector's Originality Guide Porsche 911" by Peter Morgan
specializes on the collectable end of 911 ownership. The current updated
version of the book details every main model of Porsche 911 from 1964 to
2008 including an exhaustive list of specifications, options, colors and pro-
duction data. It contains color photographs, many of which hone in on
details of the cars. This resource is priced at $40.00.
In regard to increasing your knowledge about a specific vehicle, do not let
spending say $25.00 to $50.00 or more put you off. Such money is truly a
drop in the bucket when you consider what you are obtaining in useful
information.
We have just touched upon Porsche 911s in this article, however, guides
are also available for other exclusive vehicle names such as Ferrari, Jaguar,
Mercedes, BMW, etc. The bottom line regarding these resources in my
book is that we are indeed lucky to have them!
