Kyle's Corner (FYI) Small is Becoming Big: Some Car Choices

Kyle Busch
More and more drivers
are looking at a small
car to move down the
road. Such vehicles not
only offer fuel economy,
but refined and comfort-
able driving environments.
Additionally, in tight
economic times like these,
small cars offer competitive
pricing.

As George Pipas, manager
and sales analysis with Ford

says in Automobile Magazine, "There are seismic factors and forces that are going to
continue to drive small-car growth in the future."

The following are some small cars that are available.

The Honda CR-Z - It is a very attractive, sporty two seater that tens of thousands
of drivers are likely to enjoy while saving money on fuel.

The Audi e-Tron - It is an electric sports car with classic proportions, beautiful
surfaces, and a great interior. The car has some of the best contemporary design
thinking.

The Ford Focus - It is fairly aerodynamic, aggressive, and it has good visual
solidarity. In many respects, it represents a return to basic Ford sedans that
sustained the company in other difficult times.

The Ford Fiesta - It is more refined in its design than the bigger Focus. The
Fiesta will do everything most Americans want out of a commuter and small
family car. It has good economy and handling that has not been available in
most small cars.

The Chevrolet Cruze - With its rounder roofline, it is a mini Malibu, and it
carries the Chevy front end theme well. It provides 100 horsepower
per liter. Such used to be racecar engine output.

The Chevrolet Spark - With its bumps, indents, pointed front-fender shapes,
and oversize hip above the rear wheels, there is a whole lot of styling
going on.

The Toyota FT-CH - It is a really good-looking four-door sedan and it is
an economical hybrid to boot.

Regarding small cars, Automobile Magazine states, "...the slice of the new-
vehicle pie taken by small cars has grown by 50 percent over the last five
years, and nothing attracts automakers' attention like a growing market."

For many drivers, small vehicles have become big.
