Kylie Minogue's newest release "Aphrodite" will hit record stores in the U.K. on July 5th and in the U.S. on July 6th. The Australian pop princess has been a hit since she released "Locomotion" in 1987, a remake of Little Eva's 1962 hit. Over the past 2 decades, Kylie Minogue, has won awards, gold and platinum albums, sold out six world tours and closed the Syndey Olympic Summer Games in 2000.

Minogue has matured in her music over the years. After battling breast cancer in 2005 she spent the next 12 months recovering. In 2006, she published a children's book, "The Showgirl Princess", and released a fragrance called "Darling" to the delight of fans. During the year after her breast cancer recovery readers of GQ and Glamour magazine voted Kylie Minogue as "Woman of the Year". She then appeared on the covers of both Elle Magazine and Australian Vogue, literally, making an appearance around the world at the same time.

Kylie Minogue has launched the release of "Aphrodite" by appearing on GMTV. She was a guest for the entire show but shined as the weather girl giving the forecast for her hometown of Melbourn, Australia. Minogue has also appeared as a mechanic on Neighbors and a waitress in Doctor Who.

Minogue's extensive career over the past two decades has had her working with other great musicians including Nick Cave, The Pet Shop Boys, Ben Lee and Robbie Williams. "Kids", the duet with Robbie Williams, debuted at #2 on the UK charts marking the song as one of her most famous duets.

"Aphrodite" will be Kylie Minogue's 11th studio album after a 3 year hiatus. Her last album X was released in 2007. "Aphrodite" will be a return to Minogue "dance floor roots" according to her record label Parlophone.
