Kyrielle

The Kyrielle is a Medieval Form of Poetry

Angie Grey
After having read a little bit about the poetry form called the Kyrielle, I decided to try to write a few of these poems myself.

Neither micro-transmitter noise
Nor electric computer toys
Or even audio remix
Will I believe in anymore
I have no comment - all is fake.

The company will mix new faces
Into a profile of one voice
So unfamiliar people now
All blend into the profiling
I have no comment - all is fake.

Apparently, these are not exactly so, and these Kyrielle verses are all being written in format C; format B being more respected than format C of the Kyrielle; and format A of the Kyrielle purportedly being the most ornate and strict version of the Kyrielle poem.

Improving writing is frightful
It does not happen easily.
Sometimes things go click in the night
While I am sleeping to forget
The dream vanishes at daybreak.

Sometimes I do too little
Daydreaming about way too much
I wish I could involve myself
Without driving myself away
In disgust with my own lifestyle.
