Kyron Horman Search Continues in November 2010

Sauvie Island Searched Again This Last Weekend

Surprisingly, the police once again searched Sauvie Island in an attempt to find evidence in the search for Kyron Horman. Police said that it was not new leads that caused a new search, but they are hoping that seasonal changes may have dislodged evidence.

7 year old Kyron Horman (now 8 years old), went missing on June 4, 2010, at his Portland, Oregon elementary school, Skyline. Kyron was last seen with his step mother, Terri Horman and his baby sister, Kiara. Terri has not been named as a suspect in the case, but so far all of the evidence has been pointing in her direction.

Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron's parents, have both said that they believe that Terri is involved in the disappearance of their son. Although police do not have any solid evidence against Terri (at least none that they have shared with the public), there are many suspicious and questionable incidents that have everyone scrutinizing the mother of three. Terri was stepmother to Kyron and mother to James, 16 and Kiara, 1.

During the initial investigation into Kyron's disappearance, Terri complained that the police were intensely questioning her and that she had failed two lie detector tests and walked out on a third polygraph test. Police then told Kaine that his wife of three years had hired a hitman to kill him in January of this year, just months before Kyron mysteriously disappeared. Kaine filed for divorce and a restraining order against his wife. Terri is not allowed to see her 23 month old daughter. Kaine says that Kiara never asks for her mother, but sometimes talks about her big brother Kyron.

Police have said that Terri is not cooperating with them and not helping the investigation to find Kyron.

Terri claims that after she left Kyron at school, she drove around to calm down her daughter who was sick with an ear infection. She then went to several different stores to find the appropriate baby medicine. Afterwards she went to the gym and left Kiara in the gym day care. Who leaves their one year old in the gym day care when they have a painful ear infection?

It is alleged that Terri's cell phone pinged on Sauvie Island that day, which is not near the stores or the gym. Witnesses claim that they saw a red head that looked like Terri on the sparsely populated Sauvie Island that day.

Terri then had a sexting affair with one of Kaine's acquaintances from high school in the days after Kyron went missing. She even sent him nude pictures of herself.

Terri is refusing to testify even in her divorce proceedings, claiming the Fifth Amendment. Kaine's attorneys claim that the Fifth Amendment only applies to criminal liability. If she didn't have anything to do with Kyron's disappearance she would not have anything to worry about, but it does not give her an accuse not to talk in the divorce proceedings.

Searchers have been out to Sauvie Island numerous times during the months after Kyron's disappearance. They are not giving up on finding the boy.

The united front between Kaine Horman and his ex wife Desiree Young has been broken with the revelations from Kaine that Terri was an alcoholic who drank herself into passing out regularly and that did not watch the children, but instead spent too much time on the internet.

Desiree says that recent email evidence that she was by police show that Terri had a "severe hatred" for Kyron.

Both Desiree and Kaine believe that Terri is capable of harming Kyron and that she is responsible for his disappearance in June.
