Kyron Horman's Stepmother, Terri Horman, Stops Fighting to See Her Daughter

Terri Horman Dismisses Court Motion to See Her Almost 2 Year Old Daughter, Kiara

Missing Oregon boy, Kyron Horman's stepmother, Terri Horman, stops fighting to see her daughter, Kiara Horman. Terri shows her true colors in court. Hiding the truth is more important than seeing Kiara, who is almost 2 years old.

Terri Horman's attorney, Peter Bunch, has filed a motion with the court in Oregon today, dropping her request for parenting time with Kiara Horman, her almost 2 year old daughter with Kaine Horman. Terri started requesting visitation just one month ago although she has not seen her daughter in four months. Kaine only had to file one motion, requesting that Terri get a psychological evaluation and tell the truth about June 4, 2010, the day Kyron Horman, then 7, went missing.

Terri does not want a mental health evaluation, nor does she want to tell the truth about where Kyron is and what happened the day he went missing from his Skyline Elementary school last June. Although she was very close to her daughter prior to the restraining order, she does not have a problem not seeing her now. Even people that are in jail convicted of crimes (even violent ones) get to see their children, so why isn't Terri fighting? Because she does not want to do what the court asks of her. She does not want to talk about what happened the day Kyron went missing. Why?Because according to Terri's lawyer, it would violate her 5th amendment right Not to incriminate herself. She also does not want a mental health evaluation because then her true colors would show.

Kyron went missing on June 4, 2010 after attending a science fair at his elementary school with his stepmother, Terri Horman. He never made it to his classroom. Terri initially appeared like a grieving stepmother until her odd behavior was noticed by friends and family members. She told them that she failed her first polygraph test and walked out on her second lie detector test. Why would she tell them that!

Then police when to Kaine Horman, Terri's loving husband and Kyron's father. They told him that they had evidence that Terri tried to hire a landscaper to kill him months before Kyron went missing. They also shared with him inconsistencies in Terri's story. Kaine went to court and received a restraining order against his wife to protect himself and his daughter. Terri immediately began a sexting and possibly physical relationship with a friend of Kaine's from high school. She also asked friends to buy her "safe" phones so that she could talk to them without being monitored by police.

Kaine is trying to divorce Terri, but her lawyers are holding up the process because they say that Terri cannot represent herself properly in the divorce proceeding because she cannot get information about the criminal investigation about Kyron's disappearance (What does that have to do with her divorce). And she also claims that she cannot speak on her own behalf without possibly incriminating herself.

Poor Kyron, this does not look good for him. Kaine Horman and Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, believe that Terri is responsible for his disappearance. They also believe that he caused "unimaginable harm" to Kyron, and that Kiara may have witnessed it.

You did a good job on writing a synopsis of this story. I could never have done it in so few words. I'll have to keep working on that! :-)
