It was going to be a nostalgic memory to those who enter this place called La Casita Mexicana. The unfamiliar sight of walking bald chefs were as interesting as ever. They looked smart, elegant and somehow attractive with mustachioed appearance.

Actually, they are not just chefs, they are also business partners and their closeness suggested to many customers that they appear like brothers. They do no have the same personalities though, even when their appearance was the same. One chef has the ying, and another the yang. It is this great combination that sparks a miracle in La Casita Mexicana.

This restaurant displays and serves authentic cuisines from the Mexican, suitable with its name, La Casita Mexicana. The original root of the food served here comes from the region of Guadalajaran. It was such a surprising discovery for those who never thought that Mexico has several regions that are rich with delicious recipes. If you wish to dine at La Casita Mexicana you would be absolutely impressed with the familiar taste of its cuisine, yet it has a touch of complexity, freshness, lightness, and delicacy all in one serving. Magnificently luxurious.

I was love stricken by the fragrant aroma and wonderful taste of the sauces and moles. They quickly made me think of my Korean grandma's specialty - the freshly home made dishes and beans. The herbs and vegetables, which were freshly picked, were strongly aromatic and sensational in their flavor.

These two ingredients were then added in the salsa and resulted in a very enticing taste. The herbs are handgrown personally by one of the chefs named Jaime. Apart from that, the herbs and seasonings are also imported from Mexico. The herbs are used for different dishes, and each dish is distinctive from the others by the addition of these herbs and seasonings.

There are several outstanding dish in La Casita Mexicana, which I think special on its own. The Chili En Nogada is a dish mostly presented green in color, on the plate. It is served together with creamy sauce from the white pecan, decorated with gleaming pomegranate seeds. Once you slice open the chile, you'll discover the wonders of delicacy inside; tender brown pork with assorted dried fruits, walnuts and candied cactus which would definitely arouse your appetite.

The Mole Poblano with Chicken is another outstanding dish which suggested that traditional dishes always win the hearts of many. The tenderness and juiciness of the chicken were incredibly delicious with the mixture of subtly sweet. The churros was magnificent, it was hot, sugar coated and perfectly crunchy. The churros was filled with creams that was hot and bursting with flavor. A sip of Mexican coffee in between munching will make you feel like heaven.

The Aztec Cheese and Divorced Chilaquiles were such marvelous delicacies which would definitely make you want to come again. The perfectly melted cheese over mushrooms with sprinkles of the right herbs in Aztech Cheese, and the crunchiness plus full of flavor in the Divorced Chilaquiles make a perfect serving to quieten my cravings.

I really love this restaurant and their Mexican food is exquisitely delicious. I am sure to come again.

La Casita is not the only good Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles, but the burritos here is the best. They are so delicious so they run out of burritos early; if you want to get some of the burritos you should come in earlier.
