Some of the best beauty products on the market today actually cost less than their high priced competitors. For example, Olay, L'Oreal and even Garnier are making a huge dent in the skin care market. That's because they provide high quality products at a fraction of the cost of those marketed in high end retail stores, doctor's offices and spas.
The same can be said for the cosmetic side of the house. Expensive doesn't always equate to being the best. In fact, one of my favorite brands when it comes to eye products comes from L.A. Colors. They make inexpensive eye shadows, brow pencils and liners. I actually prefer theirs to some of the most expensive brands out there.
I particularly like their eyeliner/brow pencils. They promise to glide on smoothly and provide precise lining and control. They also promise a variety of colors and a reasonable price. They also promise to always be ready to do the job. Do they live up to those promises? Let's take a look at L.A. Colors Eyeliner/Brow Pencils and see.
First of all, I love that this product comes in a variety of colors. These include gold and silver; mahogany, brown and black/brown; navy and black. That is a good cross section of colors that fit almost any woman's needs. I give them 4 out 5 stars here. The only fault I find is a lack of any green liner for women with hazel or green eyes.
Secondly, L.A. Colors Eyeliner/Brow Pencils promise a smooth formula that will go on easily and define eyes and brows perfectly. The claim here is somewhat true.
The formula is as smooth if not smoother than some of the more expensive lining formulas available today. Yet it is also stiff enough to provide good control for filling in the brows. It is difficult to provide both in a single pencil, but L.A. Colors manages to do just that. I give the product another 4 out of 5 stars here.
When it comes to low price, L.A. Colors Eyeliner/Brow Pencils can rarely be bested. I purchase mine at discount department stores like Dollar General or Dollar Tree. However, even at other retail stores, L.A. Color products are beyond competitive. They ensure that there is something every woman can afford when it comes to cosmetics. That is easily worth another 5 stars out of 5.
Finally, I love the fact that the company often packages a sharpener with their eyeliner and brow pencils. There is nothing worse than a dull pencil when you are ready to punch up your eyes. L.A. Colors understands that and provides you with the tools you need to do the job when you are ready. That is well worth another 5 out of 5 stars.
That gives L.A. Colors Eyeliner/Brow Pencils 18 out of a possible 20 stars for performance. That's pretty good. There are a lot of expensive brands that couldn't stand up to that scale.
Unfortunately, L.A. Colors Eyeliner/Brow Pencils are not widely available. They are primarily marketed through drug stores, discount department stores, online and through a few grocery marts. You may have to search a bit to find these products, but it will be well worth the effort.
Two eyeliner/brow pencils with a sharpener were only $1 at Dollar Tree and $1.50 at Dollar General. That is a hard price to beat.

great review :)
Great review. I use eyeliner once in awhile.
Another great one!
Good review! For eyeliner, I'm loyal to Revlon. I want to try eyebrow pencil because my eyebrows are very light, but I'm not sure it would look right with my blonde hair.
