This little Bistro is right out of Paris itself. The actual restaurant seats only about 30 people at a time it is so tiny inside. However it is constantly busy and you usually have to make reservations to get in the door.

The owner is from France and moved here in 1957 when she was in her 30's. She opened this restaurant shortly thereafter and has ran, cooked, and served in it ever since. The restaurant is actually 27 yrs old and now the daughters of Just in the recent years has she taken a back seat to serving the customers. However you will still see her roaming around the room talking to everyone and having full on conversations with the regulars which there are many.

To start off the meal there are not what one would consider appetizers. They have mostly soups, and cheese plates which should actually come after the meal. However there French Onion soup is as authentic as it gets and delicious. They also have a very significant wine list that should adapt to any taste.

The restaurant is most famous for its crepe dishes. For lunch and dinner they have crepes stuffed with sliced chicken, steak, or even crab. All cooked to perfection with fresh mushrooms or onions, than covered in one of their many delectable French sauces. They have Béchamel, Hollandaise, and even a Brown Sauce. The lunch dishes are just a bit smaller however the perfect price. If just ordering the lunch crepe you can expect to spend around $7.00. However for dinner the price goes up $2.00. No regarding the other French fare, there is usually steaks, Cordon Bleu, and many other French delicacies like escargot. The meals that do not consist of crepes usually cost from $12.00-$28.00 dollars.

Lastly the desserts are wonderful and very classic. Again they have many versions of fruit or chocolate filled crepes and ice cream. However they also have tortes and occasionally this peaches and cream bread pudding.

The restaurant is terribly romantic in the evening because it sits right in the middle of downtown Colorado Springs right across from a park. You can walk off your dinner or dance it off at the clubs just 2 blocks away. La Creperie is not a great restaurant for kids is the only draw back, the cramped spaces and elegant décor does not lend to loud squealing children.

They now have two other La Creperies open, ran by the original owner's daughters. They have decided to keep the wonderfully popular French restaurant going for as long as possible.
