The Chileda Classic 10K and 5 K race is an annual part of La Crosse's Riverfest Independence Day Celebration. This year marks the 27th Annual run and is going to be hosted on Saturday, July 7th. If you are wishing to participate and help raise funds for the Chileda Institute, you can pick up the run packets at the Radisson Hotel on July 4th, 5th and 6th from 11am to 6pm. You musts register for the race prior to race day as no registrations will be accepted that day.

The Annual Chileda Classic run is a great way to raise funds for the disabled children in the La Crosse community. The money is used to care for and educate the children and provide them with specific programming to meet their needs. When you work together with the community to invest in the children's future, everyone wins.

The Chileda Institute in La Crosse, WI is a place for disabled kids to come together. The institute is located next to Franciscan Skemp clinic along Victory Street. The Institute is devoted to giving children with disabilities a head start with an excellent education. The institute focuses on the children as individuals and works with each need specifically.

There are three races, the 10K, 5K and even a kid's race. The 10K starts at 7:30 am, the 5K at 7:50 am, and the Kid's Race is at 11am. The 10 K starts at the intersection of 2nd St and Pearl St, and the 5 K starts at the intersection of State St. and 2nd St. The races finish at Riverside Park, and will curve throughout many of the downtown streets of La Crosse along the course.

If you are not able to run, there are multiple volunteeer opportunities available for you. As a reward for your volunteering you will be given a t-shirt and fed a pancake breakfast. Cheerleaders and start and finish line volunteers are much appreciated!
