LA PRIDE FESTIVAL
The LA Pride Festival will be on San Vicente between Santa Monica and Melrose on Saturday June 13 from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight and on Sunday June 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The cost is $15 if you purchase advance tickets from LAPRIDE.org. You can also purchase tickets the day of the events for $20 per day. Admission to LA Pride 2009 includes all of the entertainment and dances.

Children's Garden
The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Family Services Program and Christopher Street West will be presenting the Children's Garden. This special place is designed just for families. You can have your child's face painted, do arts and crafts and even jump on the moon walk. You will find the Children's Garden at the festival near Robertson Blvd. The garden will be open on Saturday and Sunday.
LA PRIDE PARADE Sunday, June 14th 11:00 a.m.
The LA Pride parade starts at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday June 14. The parade will be on Santa Monica between Crescent Heights and San Vicente. The LA Pride parade starts at Crescent Heights and will end at Robertson Blvd. If you cannot attend the LA Pride 2009 parade you can watch it live in the LA area on channel 10.Fot the first time ever, you can also watch the parade live on the internet at www.lapride.org/webcast. Starting at 10:30 you can watch a pre-show followed by the parade.
Silent Celebration Sunday, June 14th at 12:00 noon
During the parade at 12 noon participants will be asked to observe 1 minute of silence. The moment of silence will help remember those who have passed or those members of the LGBT community who cannot attend the events.
The West Hollywood Dyke March and After Party Friday, June 12th
The Dyke march and Rally will be held on San Vicente Blvd. just south of Santa Monica Blvd.
The Dyke rally will start at 7:30 p.m. followed by the march at 8:00 p.m.
The after party will start at 9:00 pm at the main stage in the baseball diamond in West Hollywood Park.
The Dyke March, rally and after party are all free to attend. You will have to pay to park your car.
Traveling to the 2009 LA Pride festival
If you are traveling by air, the clost airports to are the closest to West Hollywood are Los Angeles International Airport and Bob Hope Airport in Burbank.
If you are traveling by car
Take 101 freeway and exit at Santa Monica Blvd. Heading west.; I-10: Exit La Cienega Blvd. heading north. ; I-405: Exit Santa Monica Blvd. heading east.
If you take a taxi from LAX it should cost $35.oo to travel to the West Hollywood. A full list of taxi services can be found on the LA Pride website.
