There is a magnificent coastal historical town in France called La Rochelle. During the festival the city comes alive with parades, music on the streets and has a wonderful carnival atmosphere.

The fantastic seafood restaurants offer freshly caught fish, prawns, lobster and a wide variety of seafoods. This town is a favorite with divers as the coastline around the city offers historical dives; you never know what you will find in the ancient waters that lap gently around this town.
