For most of us, Labor Day is sort of our "last hurrah" of the summer season. Familes get busy in the fall with school and sports and clubs, so Labor Day can a be a fun way to end the summer and ease into the fall schedule. Below find some great Labor Day activities in Philadelphia and its surrounding areas.

Tony Williams Jazz Festival 2011
September 2 - 5, 2011

Enjoy Mike Boone, Dick Morgan, Ronnie Waters and many more talented performers during this Labor Day weekend festival. The festival will also honor Bill Cosby, Darryl Hall, and Mickey Roker. Tickets needed and run anywhere between $10 and $100 (for individual rates to packages).

Philadelphia Union Versus Kansas City Wizards
September 4, 2011

A great weekend to root for your local soccer team while it's still warm and sumemr is in the air. Go to the PPL Park to watch this game, directions HERE.

Polish-American Family Festival
September 4-6 2011

A tradition in the area, the 46th Anniversary Polish-American Family Festival and County fair is sure to be fun for the whole family.Admission is only $10 and parking is free. Learn about the traditions, taste the fantastic food and join in all of the fun festivities. Located at the National Shrine of our Lady of Czestochowa. The festival continues September 10 & 11, 2011.

24th Annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade and Family Celebration
September 5, 2011

A great way to spend the Monday holiday. The parade is a favorite in the area, so get there early to get your spot! Enjoy festivities after the parade such as good food, kids activities, crafts and music.
