Abbey Road on the the River
September 1 - 5, 2011

This Beatles tribute festival is sure to be filled with music and joy. Located on the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Maryland, this concert will host 50 different bands from all over the world. They claim that fans will experience "peace, love and rock-n-roll". Event is rain or shine.

41st Annual Labor Day Art Show in Glen Echo Park
September 2-5, 2011

I grew up near Glen Echo park which has been around for years. We used to love to go ride on the merry-go-round. It is a great place for kids, to take classes or to just walk around. Admission is free to this event that is located in the Spanish Ballroom. Enjoy art, jewelry musicians and so much more.

DC Blues Festival
September 3, 2011

Have fun at the 23rd Annual DC Blues Festival this year. Admission is free at this fabulous venue located at Carter Barron Amphitheater. The "party" starts at noon and ends at 7:30pm. Enjoy music, an instrument petting zoo, workshops and more!There is an after party for those who are allowed up past midnight!

Labor Day Concert at the US Capitol
September 4, 2011

A free concert located on the West Lawn of the Capitol. It is a beautiful place to be with views that are spectacular like staring at the fabulous Washington Monument. The concert is produced by the always professional Kennedy Center. The venue will move to the Kennedy Center if the weather does not hold up.

Greenbelt Labor Day Festival
September 2 - 5, 2011

Carnival rides, petting zoo, athletic tournaments and so much more at this local festival held at the Greenbelt community center. There will also be a Miss Greenbelt pageant as well as live entertainment.
