Labor Day Events in and Around Gaylord, Michigan!

This year Labor Day will fall on September 5th, and, for most families, they already have plans. However, some people have no plans for the holiday weekend. For these individuals, it could be because they are new in town, or perhaps they have to work. Yet, no matter your schedule or location, Gaylord and its surrounding areas will have fun activities for the whole family will enjoy.

Patriot Golf Day
The 4th annual Patriot Golf Day will take place on September 2nd through September 4th. During this time, golfers can come out to play a 45 hole tournament to help raise money for scholarships. The money raised will go to the Folds of Honor Foundation for the family members of fallen soldiers.

The cost to attend the two person charity event is $300 per person. Included in the cost is:

The Patriot Golf Day will take place at the Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan. In addition to the cost of the event, golfers can stay at the resort for an additional cost. Labor Day Weekend
Ostego Lake County Park will hold the Labor Day Weekend event between September 2nd and September 5th. The park will have hayrides and candy bingo for the kids, in addition to, a pancake breakfast for the campers.

Royal Craft Show
The Charlevoix Castle Farms will be holding the most prestigious craft show in Michigan on September 3rd and September 4th. The Royal Craft show brings in thousands of visitors each year and displays only the finest of arts and crafts.

The arts and crafts on display can be views on Saturday, 10am-5pm and Sunday, 10am-4pm. Castle Farm will have free park, but the cost of the Royal Craft Show is $3.00 per person. Children under the age of 12 will get in free.

Thunder Over Water Festival
The Thunder Over Water Festival will take place in Waters, Michigan on September 4th. This year the festival will have a 5K run, a pancake and sausage breakfast, kids games, a water ball competition, Arts and crafts shows, a parade, and fireworks.

The parade will begin at 1pm, while the fireworks will take place in the evening.

New this year is the first annual Miss Thunder Over Waters Beauty Pageant. Anyone young female can register at the website. Also, anyone interested in the craft show, 5K, or parade should also register through the website.
