Laborless Day

Linda Louise Johnson
Oh I know it all began

back in 1882

to honor our workers

for everything they do.

It's been a national tribute

for all these years it's true.

for the ones in the factory

on the site, at the wheel

Without them, what would we do?

We'll remember them

as we picnic and grill

under skies of blue.

Because for me

Labor Day will be

laborless.

How about you?

The condition our country is in right now one would never know that we have laborers, but there is no doubt as to the fact that we have way to many politicians pretending to do things for us.
