Lack of Parking at the Bergen County Superior Court

Unknown
How come Bergen County Superior Court cannot provide enough parking for jurors and members of the public? This is a question I have not been able to answer myself, nor has anyone been able to answer for me. The public is told to report to the Superior Court for jury, traffic court, divorce court or a various amounts of reasons. However, there is not enough parking to fit all of these people. The parking lot has limited parking and is even more limited when rain is involved. The rain makes it impossible because as all Bergen County residents know, Hackensack floods, and the lot is no exception. My solution is to build a multi level parking garage that will yes create more traffic coming in and out, but it will not force people to park in the streets where there is a significant walking distance for one, and a risk of towing or even ticketing that will require them to come back for court again. A multi level parking garage seems like a valid solution but when I did my research I was told it was not in the budget.

Bergen County this year has spent a large amount of money tearing up all the grass and landscape on its front lawn and replaced it with concrete and trees raised from the ground. Also installed where benches and pawn looking statues that half of which are already broken. They also had installed ashtrays with no smoking signs on them, go figure..

All I'm saying folks is that this situation causes a lot of frustration not to mention delaying of court proceedings to which the individual is punished for tardiness. A parking garage is the simplest solution and their only justification is we can't afford it. I think we can deal without the broken benches and statues. What we can't deal with is the hassle of parking.
