Lady Gaga Appears Nude for Vanity Fair and Exposes All

Whether one is familiar with her music or not, Lady Gaga she makes sure the world takes notice of her by wearing outlandish costumes...or not.

Lady Gaga appears nude this week on the front cover of the September issue of Vanity Fair.

She is not completely nude, if you count her necklace and strategically placed fabric, according to SheKnows.com.

What may surprise readers more is that Lady Gaga exposes much more than skin in her interview with Vanity Fair. She speaks candidly about herself on many topics, including: Celibacy, trust, drugs, the relationships with her mother and grandmother, and more.

According to VanityFair.com, when it came to the topic of her drug use, Lady Gaga put out this warning to her fans: "I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don't want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It's in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster."

Gaga told the interviewer that she was "perpetually lonely," and is celibate. She does not want for her creative energy to be drained by a sexual relationship.

Lady Gaga's family had an influence in Gaga's turnaround. When Lady Gaga had hit rock bottom, her 82-year-old grandmother in West Virginia told her that she could have a few hours to cry, but once they were over, "...you're gonna stop crying, you're gonna pick yourself up, you're gonna go back to New York and you're gonna kick some ass."

The September issue of Vanity Fair was on newsstands in Los Angeles and New York City yesterday, and will be available on stands nationwide, as well as the iPad, on August 10.
