Lady Gaga Dead...???

Lady Gaga Dead? Lady Gaga found dead. However you chose to express it one thing is for sure, the promotional team behind the ever eccentric Ms. Lady Gaga is working overtime to promote her newest album.

Much like those who came before her, Lady Gaga is no stranger to building up the hype. What better way to get people stirred up than to start a rumor that you have met your own demise. Lady Gaga Dead?! It can't be. The chorus of naysayers would stream into the streets. Fire hydrants would blow open. Small babies would wake from their peaceful slumber demanding explanations. Lady Gaga can not be dead. More than likely, she is not.

In the world of musical stardom, those who generate the hits realize, it can all be over tomorrow. There is nothing unusual about the one hit wonders. Musical sensations come and go like day and night. The public is fickle about its entertainment. A smash in the morning could be playing in the elevator by night fall. Certainly, nobody is more aware of these possibilities than the mysterious Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga dead is probably just the beginning of what is to follow in playing up the artist's new release. The music sounds similar to what she has produced in the past. It is fun, playful without a tremendous amount of substance. Still, it would be interesting to hear what any of her tunes would sound like if played on an actual instrument. Remember those things? Instruments. We hardly hear from ya anymore.

Lady Gaga is smart. She is clearly savvy when it comes to marketing. At her next live performance it would be surprising to see people wondering aloud "Is that really Lady Gaga? or is Lady Gaga dead? I heard she was dead." Hey, her act is perfect for such and ingenious masquerade. She has been known to make public appearances in the most outlandish outfits. She could very easily give a series of concerts where her face is completely obscured for the entire evening leaving her audiences wondering if they ever actually witnessed her at all. If anyone could get away with it, it would be the Gaga.

She definitely has style. If you can call it that. She has shown up in costumes ranging from something that looks like a living bubble bath to something that resembled a raging volcano. Those are clearly a couple of things that have not been seen since Elton John was going through his Mr. Dressup phase in the seventies.

Hopefully we will get to see much more. Regardless of what your opinion is of Lady Gaga whether she is alive or dead, she will always be entertaining. Somewhat. It isn't clear yet how to classify her music. Perhaps it is best described as a little bit of dance, a little electronic, obviously a whole lot of pop and considerably influenced by the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz. The combination may not work for most, but it is definitely working for her. Lady Gaga can't be dead. She is just now beginning to shine. Or glow or haze up in some peculiar way. Whatever it is she is doing, it will be interesting to watch.
