Lady Gaga Has the Best Selling Album of 2010: What Can We Expect from Gaga in 2011?

Lady Gaga Rocked 2010 and Looks to Do the Same in 2011!

Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster is the best selling album of 2010. Lady Gaga used the love of her "little monsters" to sell 5.8 million copies of The Fame Monster worldwide in 2010. At age 24, that is pretty impressive.

Lady Gaga just beat out Eminem whose album Recovery sold 5.7 million copies in 2010. Rounding out the top five albums of the year were Justin Bieber selling 5.6 million copies of his My Worlds album, Lady Antebellum sold 3.6 million copies of Need You Now and Taylor Swift came in at number five with Speak Now selling 3.5 million copies.

Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, hit the music scene in a big way in 2008 with her album The Fame. The Fame Monster came out in 2009 as basically a re-release of The Fame with a couple of new tracks. It dominated the 2010 radio airwaves. Gaga has a new album called Born This Way set for release in 2011. No doubt it will be an enormous success like her first two albums.

Gaga won an American Music Award in 2010 for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist, the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Musical Artist in 2010, and two Grammy's! She is nominated for another six Grammy's (winners to be announced in 2011) for Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Best Dance Recording, and Best Short Form Music Video.

Though Gaga is well known for her myriad of crazy outfits both on and offstage, her 2010 will always be known as the year of the meat dress! At the MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga accepted the award for best video for her song Bad Romance. She came out on stage in a dress made of real raw meat. PETA was obviously not amused by the outrageous dress but others saw it as just another stunt by an entertainer. In explaining the dress to Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga said, "It has many interpretations... If we don't stand up for what we believe in and if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat."

She may not be a piece of meat, but Lady Gaga is an incredible performer. She has a wonderful singing voice, and unlike so many pop stars today, she doesn't lip sync. That's impressive considering the types of active performances she gives on stage during her concerts. So what can we expect from Lady Gaga in 2011? A new album, a new tour and many more outrageous moments on and off stage.

I like her style and love her singing!

I'll give her credit; she can sing. That separates her from most of the other pop stars of today.

I never took Lady Gaga seriously until I saw a video of her duet with Elton John. That's when I saw she has immense talent and isn't just someone who's been taken advantage of by the media for her sexy look. Since then I've made it a point to listen to some of her music and, I love it!
