Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' to Be Tackled in a Future Episode of "Glee"

How Ryan Murphy Plans on Using Lady Gaga's, yet to Be Released, Single on "Glee"

Exciting news for Gleeks and Lady Gaga fans emerged January 13, 2011. According to Entertainment Weekly, "Glee" producers got the clearance from Lady Gag herself to do its own rendition of her, yet to be released, single Born This Way, which is also the title track from her upcoming album of the same name. What plans do Murphy and company have for this single and when will it air?

'Born This Way' to be Used in a Future March or April Episode

Lady Gaga's much anticipated new single hasn't even dropped yet and "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy already has plans for it in an upcoming episode. Gaga's release date for the single Born This Way isn't until February 13, 2011 with the album of the same name, dropping May 23, 2011. The artist herself has said this new album will be the "greatest album of this decade." We think it may be too early, especially with the new decade just starting off, to tell if this will be true or not.

Murphy and Company's "Glee" Plans for 'Born This Way'

CNN.com disclosed that Ryan Murphy revealed the Lady Gaga song Born This Way, will be "centered around closeted gay bully Karofsky," played by Max Adler. As "Glee" fans already know, Karofsky's bullying and possible infatuation with Kurt (Golden Globe Winner Chris Colfer) lead to Kurt attending Dalton Academy thus departing from McKinley High and 'New Directions'. Murphy wanted to bring more focus on Karofsky's character after the revelation that he is indeed gay came to light, when he kissed Kurt in episode titled "Never Been Kissed."

What Lies in Store for Closeted Gay Teen, Karofsky on "Glee"

Many Gleeks, including this writer have speculated what Karofsky may do to Kurt and to himself carrying this secret and trying to live a lie. Fear so him becoming a sexual predator where Kurt is concerned arose as well as fears that Karofsky may spiral out of control and do harm to himself. Even Ryan Murphy has said that Karofsky's character has the possibility of going even darker into booze, drugs or worse committing suicide. However, the "Glee" co-creator is hoping to give the Karofsky storyline a more optimistic ending. No one, not even Murphy, knows exactly what lies in store for Karofsky during the March or April episode using Lady Gaga's single Born This Way.

We can't wait to see how the "Glee" cast will handle the soon to be released Born This Way. We are even more on edge to find out how "Glee" will resolve, if it will resolve, Karofsky's struggle in trying to hide his sexual identity. Will Kurt and Blaine be the ones to offer help and a happy ending for Karofsky? Or will Karofsky spin out of control with dire results? At this time, no one knows, but I have a feeling we will be talking about episode for weeks, months and maybe even years to come.
