Lady Gaga's Shocking Meat Dress at the 2010 VMA Awards Takes Fashion Too Far

Lady Gaga is known for interesting clothing style. She has worn many outfits in the last year that no one else dared to wear and because of that she has achieved iconic status in record time.

But is Lady Gaga taking her crazy fashion sense too far?

Lady Gaga appeared at this years VMA Awards wearing a meat dress. Yes, a dress made of meat. The worst part of this was that it wasn't very surprising coming from Lady Gaga. This is actually her second appearance this year in a meat outift - she appeared on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan wearing a meat bikini swimsuit.

Lady Gaga appeared at the VMAs onstage with with the iconic Cher who has worn her fair share of crazy outfits. How old is Cher? The singer is now 64 years old and still looking like a pop diva herself.

When Gaga accpeted her VMA award for Video of the Year for her song "Bad Romance" she said, "I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse." Well before you came along we never would have guessed such a thing either. But considering everything she has done in the last few years it's really not that surprising.

The only surprising thing? The entire outfit - dress, hat, shoes, and purse - was made entirely of meat. That's actually quite impressive. According to information published on the @gagadaily Twitter feed, Lady Gaga's meet dress was designed by Franc Fernandez.

Although it was a shocking move that disgusted many animal rights activists, perhaps the biggest concern was Lady Gaga's spread of germs. Maybe Cher should have skipped hugging the winner.

Lady Gaga will continue to keep taking fashion risks hoping to shock the world, but we hope she considers how her decisions affect others and perhaps next time skip the meat. No need to waste food and taunt animal lovers at the same time. She might find she actually starts to lose fans because of her eccentric fashion sense.
