She returns in the midst of CSI's Miniature Killer storyline which has Supervisor Gil Grissom in knots. The killer has taunted Grissom the entire season by sending miniatures foretelling and recounting murders.
Grissom is currently in a hush hush relationship with subordinate Sara Sidle. The couple have been circling one another for years. The willowy beauty appeared in CSI's second episode at Grissom's behest. Flirtation and innuendo followed for six seasons. At some point during season 6 Grissom and Sara became involved. So far none of their coworkers are aware of the love affair.
Lady Heather and Grissom have their own history. We were first introduced to the dark haired vixen during the second season's Slaves of Las Vegas. The episode ended with the duo having tea. The "relationship" continued in the third season which saw an entire episode dedicated to the character. Lady Heather's Box featured face touching by Grissom and a fully dressed morning after tea. William Petersen has said that his character did not have sex with the Lady Heather. Many found the scene ambiguous.
What will the return of the sultry former "friend "mean for one of TV's hottest couples?
According to producer Carol Mendelsohn Lady Heather won't spell doom and gloom for pair. "She comes at a time when the Grissom-Sara relationship is heating up, Lady Heather's appearance actually changes that relationship in a way that is unexpected. She won't have the affect you assume she'll have."
Melinda Clarke adds these thoughts, "But based on the history of the show, it makes more sense for Grissom and Sara to be together."
Grissom-Sara shippers find the return of the character terribly disturbing. According to one shipper who goes by the web monicure MsGrits, shippers are weary of the storyline. "Shippers rejoiced when Sara and Grissom finally got together. This is Lady Heather's fourth appearance on the show. This is the second time she's shown up during the relationship. Grissom has always been portrayed as extremely cautious and moral. When this character shows up his code of ethics seems to go out the window. He didn't pursue his romance with Sara partially because of his moral code. He was concerned about their age difference and his role as her boss. Finally he's taken the plunge and now his woman shows up-AGAIN. It just doesn't jive with the extensive character development. I'm willing to wait and see what the episode but this trend is disturbing."

Post a CommentI'm so glad, after having watched the season finale, that Grissom made public his feelings for Sara! Of course, now shey's lying crushed under a car for the Summer...
Hmm...I love CSI! Do you think Lady Heather is the minature killer? Maybe she is bored on the job. ha.
I'm not a fan, but it sounds like the show contains some unusual characters.
Great article. I am not up to date on the goings on in the series but I do enjoy watching them from time to time.
