Lake View YMCA Accepting Volunteers

The YMCA is a charitable association that I have long been involved in. Not only do I have a family membership to the "Y", but I also volunteer at a branch in the suburbs. There are so many different volunteer activities that you can get involved in and sometimes you can even get a discount on some of their programs in return for your volunteer hours. I volunteered in the pool area, teaching swimming lessons to young kids. In return, my daughter got a discount when I signed her up for swimming lessons. I didn't volunteer to teach swimming to get the discount, but they do offer nice perks.

The Lake View YMCA located at 3333 N. Marshfield Avenue in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago has a ton of volunteer opportunities available such as mentoring kids, teaching swimming lessons, helping with landscaping and maintenance and helping out with clerical duties. You can also volunteer for a special event or serve as a committee member. Volunteering at the "Y" is so much fun and it's a very worthwhile, established organization that continues to give back to the community.
