Kent lake is located in Kensington Metro park. Located in Milford, Michigan. You pay a yearly parking price or a small daily price. Seniors get a discount on the yearly price. If you plan on visiting more then four or more times a year it would benefit you to purchase the yearly pass. There are Biking and online skating paths that circle Kent lake. Sixteen ramps are located in two areas of the park for boating. There is a separate fee for this. Plenty of boat rentals available. Maybe you just came to swim. There is a beach area also. Bring your own food and grill or maybe you want to buy some from the concession stand. Plenty of sand for the littles ones to play in also some play ground equipment. Fishing, Golf, Disc golf, Fitness trail, Bird watching, Camping, Hiking and Horse back riding (bring your own horse) are some other fun things that you can do. This park is very clean and well maintained. There is first aid booths around the area.
Deerfield Nature Park is located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. There are ten camping sites in this park. Eight mile long hiking/biking trail. You will be able to view a lot of the park through this. Enjoy the scenery and get some exercises in. When you get warm from that, head down to the sandy beach and jump in the clear water. This beach is kept very clean. Spend the whole day out here. There are lots of things to do. Fishing, Volleyball, Horseback riding or place your boat in the water and take a ride. First aid is also available if needed. Located on the the beach.
Markin Glen county park located in Northern Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is a park with a lot of action. There is something for everyone here. There are ball fields here. Two of them to be exact. A bunch of camp sites are available, make that long weekend fun . There are two smaller lakes here that are available for some shore fishing. A nice swimming area. No life guards are available. Water quality is checked every 24 hours and results are available online. They are known for their cleanness. Six picnic areas are available for use, however these are a first come first serve basis.
If you live in Michigan or planning to visit Michigan there are lots of options for you. These are all lakes that I have personally been to and enjoyed every minute of it. Grab the cooler and the sun block and go have some good fun with the family.
