Lamaze Spin and Explore the Sea Gym - Product Review

I know it may sound crazy but I bought the Lamaze Spin and explore the Sea Gym for $40. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but I wasn't all that happy with the mat. I know that the purpose of the mat was give my baby a format to help develop his skills but I'm not really seeing the results I'm looking for.

I figured it was time for my baby to learn how to maneuver on his tummy but I needed something that would entice him to do so. The Lamaze Spin and explore the Sea Gym was introduced to me through a friend so I thought it might be about something. I was 100% wrong.

Description
The Lamaze Spin and explore the Sea Gym is a baby play mat that is suppose to help your baby get familiar with movement. It's a tummy time play ground that offers different types of activities. It comes with many different color, layers and textures.

Cons

The reason I started with the Cons was because with me. There isn't much to brag about when it comes to the Lamaze Spin and explore the Sea Gym. There isn't anything spectacular when it comes to this play mat and I eventually took it back.

First of all it's just a mat and even though it comes with different colors and activities, the activities aren't all that engaging. Now I know that my baby is an infant and it doesn't take much for him to be engaged, but honestly I was looking for a little more.

There isn't any noise making toys, which I was expecting to see. The only thing that my baby actually likes is the squeezing toy. I guess that's where the whole "texture" feature comes in at.

Another thing I didn't like about the Lamaze Spin and explore the Sea Gym was the construction of it. It didn't come with enough padding, it was like my baby was laying on the plain floor. It's also small in size and poorly put together.

The cloth that it's made out of is hard to clean and considering the fact that my baby throws up every five minutes, this isn't a great thing.

Conclusion?

The Lamaze Spin and explore the Sea Gym is a waste of time and money. It's not worth the money I spent on it. And to be honest, I've bought way better baby gyms than this one. Believe me when I say that I took it back in less than a week and don't regret it one bit.
