Lanacane's Anti-Chafing Gel: Does it Really Work?

Stacy J. Day
Just about everyone has bought a product that was supposed to work a certain way yet it failed to live up to its expectations. This has happened to me more times than I care to speak of. I have honestly spent hundreds of dollars on disappointing products over the years, and now I won't purchase a product without performing as much research on it as I can. My husband recently developed a chafing problem due to working in the hot weather and requested that I buy Lanacane's Anti-chafing Gel for him, and I was very hesitant in the beginning. He's always had sensitive skin that becomes chafed easily, especially in extreme heat. He had used aloe vera gel where the chafing had occurred on his body previously, but without much improvement, if any. Knowing that he was miserable due to the very visible redness and irritation that I saw on his skin, I knew that we had to do something, yet I waited a few days to see if the problem would improve on its own. Unfortunately the weather only got hotter, intensifying my husband's chafing problem. I hadn't read any reviews or done any research on this product, but my husband didn't care-he wanted the Lanacane's Anti-chafing Gel and he wanted it yesterday. I knew he was too busy working to go to the store himself, so I reluctantly went. After visiting a nearby CVS, I looked at all the products that might even remotely help with my husband's chafing, but after reading numerous labels, I decided to give the Lanacane Anti-chafing Gel a try since the other products didn't seem like they would help-I wasn't throwing away anymore money on useless products. Besides, the anti-chafing gel was on sale for $1.50 off its regular price, which to me was a great deal.

Lanacane Anti-chafing Gel promises to help soothe and prevent soreness caused by skin rubbing on skin and/or on clothing, to dry on contact, provide long-lasting comfort, and to be non-greasy, non-staining and moisture-proof. I can attest that this product lives up to each one of its claims, and it's absolutely awesome. It's one of the few products that actually works as consumers expect it to. One night my husband's skin was red, irritated and inflamed from heat and chafing, and after only one use, his skin was miraculously healed. The next day the weather was even hotter than it had been previously, but thanks to Lanacane Anti-chafing Gel to prevent any further chafing, his skin wasn't red or irritated in the least. He returned home from work the next evening with a smile on his face instead of a frown. My husband and I are so satisfied with this product that we would recommend it to anyone who has been bothered by chafing. It works amazingly quick and it's fragrance-free, so you don't have to worry about any strong, unpleasant odors. This gel is also more soothing than you could ever imagine. We would pay $20 for this product if we had to, but luckily you can get it from your local drugstore for under $10. If you're as lucky as I was, you might even be able to catch it on sale and get it for $6.50.
