Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers : $1 Per Six Pack

Consumer Product Review

Thomas J McCabe

For many years, I have been a big fan and regular consumer of peanut butter crackers and packaged peanut butter cracker sandwiches. Approximately one month ago, the CVS Pharmacy located across the street from my apartment building began stocking and selling six - count packages of Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers. As soon as I saw them on the shelf, I started buying this brand of peanut butter crackers instead of another brand that I had been purchasing.

These peanut butter cracker sandwiches are very tasty and I think they would be a good item to review. Presented here, in an effort to assist the consumer, is one food writer's product review of Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers.

Size
The net weight of the six serving package of Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers is five ounces (142 grams). The container holds six packages, each of which holds four peanut butter cracker sandwiches. Each of the cracker sandwiches measures roughly 1.5 " and the entire package measures in at roughly 5.5" x 3.75".

Price
The regular retail price charged for one five ounce, six serving package of Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers at Hartford, Connecticut area CVS Pharmacies is $1. These tasty cracker sandwiches are a new addition to the lineup of 'Ten for $1' items that are normally stocked at CVS Pharmacies everywhere. I would have to guess that the price of these crackers at other retailers would be similar to the price charged at CVS.

Texture / Consistency
These peanut butter cracker sandwiches feature a very pleasing texture. True to their 'Toasty' name, these cracker sandwiches are appealingly crunchy, but still fairly soft. A nice amount of peanut butter is sandwiched between two of these crackers in each sandwich and a little sprinkling of salt is added to the top of each sandwich.

Nutritional Facts
Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers contain 120 calories, with 60 calories from fat, per one four sandwich package of crackers. These cracker sandwiches also contain 1 gram of saturated fat, 0 grams trans fat, 6 grams total fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, 150 mg of sodium, 11 grams total carbohydrates, less than 1 gram of dietary fiber, 1 gram of sugars and 3 grams of protein, per one four sandwich serving.

Taste / Flavor
Through the years, I have eaten many different brands of peanut butter cracker sandwiches. While most of these cracker sandwiches taste largely the same, they also offer slight variations in flavor. Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers contain a good amount of tasty peanut butter sandwiched between pleasant tasting crackers. Personally, I think that the sprinkling of salt on the top of these cracker sandwiches gives them an extra amount of flavor that really makes a difference.

The pleasant, almost subtle flavor of these crackers makes them a great item to eat at any time of the day or night. To be honest, these peanut butter cracker sandwiches are one of my favorite foods to start the day with, because their mellow flavor is so appealing early in the day. On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign this product a rating of 9.50.

Packaging
Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers are packaged in a lightweight cardboard box that is covered with a bright yellow and blue wrapper. The package is easy to open and the rear label lists all relevant ingredient and nutritional information. The individual packages of peanut butter cracker sandwiches are packaged in clear plastic wrappers that are easy to open.

The packaging of these peanut butter crackers makes them very convenient. They fit and store easily in one's pocket, purse, desk or glove compartment or anywhere else.

Overall Rating
All things considered, Lance Toasty Peanut Butter Crackers are inexpensively priced cracker sandwiches that taste very good. Available at food retailers across the United States, these cracker sandwiches are highly recommended by this food writer.
