Land a Good Job with Your Present Job Skills
School May Not Be the Answer when Looking for a Good Job
I hear more and more people saying, "I am going back to school because there are no more good jobs out there." Some people are tired of job hunting and looking for work. In today's society, it is important to go out there and find what you are good at. Never look for a job that you have no interest in, but you see that there is a lot of money involved in it. You will not be happy or good at what you do.
The best masters of any job are those that love what they do and they look forward to going to work every day. Successful people like Donald Trump (real estate) and Bill Gates (Computers) can easily be associated by their profession. You just mention the word real estate and Donald Trump is the first person that probably comes to your mind and of course if you say the word computer, you are thinking Bill Gates or Microsoft. These men and many others have proven themselves to be good at what they do becuase they love what they do. They look forward to going to work every day and they have proven themselves to be successful. They have truly mastered their job.
If you have no interest in real estate, then you should not try to study for a real estate license just because you feel like the money is good here. I know people that have tried to become psychics because they thought that the money was good and instad they bellowed up because they could not even earn $50 a day to support themselves. As you can see, we must never go into an occuption that we feel is not right for us and that we think we are not going to be good at.
There are the in between jobs that most people take on when they are in school such as: waitress, fast food employee, retail clerk and other positions. However, did you know that there are some people who actually enjoy working in fast food chains and waiting on tables or working as a retail clerk? Some waiters can earn as much as $100,000 a year if they are working in a well established and famous restaurant. You will find successful people in every industry. There are those that choose to find their success working along side of others and there are those that choose to work alone. You must find what you are good at and then try and make a living at it.
We are living in a culture that is obsessed with school and obsess with college degrees. You have to truly ask yourself, what is God trying to say to me here and can I earn the money that I want or the job that I desire with what I have right now. Do not think that just because you have a Masters degree in something, that you are going to find your dream job. Knowing someone in an industry goes a lot further than having a college degree. Did you know that there are literally millions of people in the world today with college degrees and cannot even find a job that is close to what they really want to do? Yes this is true. It is also true that these same people think that it is their degree that is the problem and this is simply not true. An employer wants to feel like they can trust you and that you can do the job. The employer also receives many applications for the same job that they are offering and they want to make sure that whoever it is that they are hiring is the right candidate.
We all know that their are unqualified people working in every occupation in the world today. We ask ourselves, "how did they get this job, they have no idea what they are doing?" We tell ourselves that we can do a much better job and with a better attitude, so why is the company putting up with them?
The boss obvioiusly hired them for a reason that had nothing to do with their job skills. Perhaps they were just a nice person with a friendly smile or a hot looking individual that would stand out in the company. The point here is, they knew something that you did not know. They knew how to work their karma, their body language and they were able to convince their employer that they were capable of doing the job properly.
In order to find yourself a good job, you have to carefully examine yourself and just say, "what am I good at?" You may have a gift that nobody else possesses but you. Your gifts will help you to determine what you are called to be and to do. Life is an inward journey and a talent. You must try to serve others in what you are doing as well. The more that you give of yourself to others, the more that money and good job opportunies will do.
It is true that some professions do require you to have a high end degree, but these positions are far and few between. The majority of people in the work force are not becoming doctors, lawyers and university professors. Many people are going back to school to show employers that they are smarter than anyone else that they are trying to hire. This is never the right move to make. You must show your employer that you are gifted to work in the position that they are looking for. It is more convincing to an employer if they see that you have field experience in what you are doing. A college degree will only get you so far and it is not always the answer. If you show your prospective employer that you can do a job that they are offering and you can do it well and you have the experience behind you, then there is no stopping you. Sometimes people spend 7 years in school studying for a Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate degree and never getting any field experience. Remember that you can impress your potential employer if you can show them that you have perfected your craft.
