Back in l847 Lansing was just a long cabin and a sawmill but it was the best place for Michigan's state capital at the time. Once Lansing because the capital of Michigan it began to grow and by l859 there where about 4000 people living in Lansing, Michigan.

Lansing, Michigan has a lot of history to offer. The state capital in Lansing, Michigan was built in l879 and it is one of the first state capitals built to resemble the white house.
