Parents therefore may take the initiative to search for special activities. Education researchers often report that when a toddler's brain "neurons" are stimulated, the child's learning abilities are enhanced later during the school-age years..
With this purpose in mind, Royal Oak Public Library, 222 East Eleven Mile Road, hosts free-of-charge "Lapsit Storytime" activities for young ones between the ages of 6 and 24 months.
A Lapsit Storytime is scheduled from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1. This is a one-on-one time for an adult and a child. Children's librarians at Royal Oak Public Library will present "board books" geared to toddlers, and other parent resources.
Call (248) 246-3700 for information.
