LaQuinta Inn, Nashville Tennesse: The Best Hotel in My Travel to the South

dessy321
During our move to the south, my spouse and I stayed in different hotels over a five-day period. Finding a decent hotel that would accept dogs over 50 pounds was quite the difficult task, also the fact that my dog is a German Shepherd did not help much, but we managed to find ones that would take us for a night or two. In our trip, only one hotel clearly stands out from the rest, and that is the LaQuinta Inn, located at 4311 Sidco Drive, in Nashville Tennessee.

Traveling can be fun, but when you hit horrible threatening weather, you must seek shelter where it is safe, even if it means for a night. There were two hotels on the exit we took when the threatening weather hit, the first one turned us away for the fact we had a large dog, and also we were not clearly dressed in a upscale manor like their other guests. The second hotel was LaQuinta, upon walking in, the hotel lobby was very clean, the staff was well groomed and polite. The lady at the counter who checked us in portrayed true southern hospitality, making us feel like we were at home. One of the male staff members helped us with unloading our suitcases from our vehicle, along with my dogs crate. Helping people with their suitcases is not a duty required from the staff, which made us feel more welcomed. He then assisted us to our room, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay before he left.

The amenities of the LaQuinta Inn of Nashville are pretty much basic when it comes to hotels, which include a breakfast, wireless high speed Internet, free local calling, free newspaper, outdoor pool, and all pets are welcome. Our room was quite spacious with two comfortable queen beds, large armoire, cable, hair dryer, coffee maker, ironing board, and alarm clock. The carpeting looked new, and the bathroom was large enough to accommodate three people. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of large towels, shampoos, conditioners, and bar soap. Unlike some hotels where you can hear every noise from the rooms around you, our room was surprisingly quite. The entire night the only noise to be heard, was from people walking in the hallway, there was no noise from the adjoining rooms to keep us up. They had vending machines on each floor fully stocked with soda, candy, chips and popcorn for their guests.

When morning came, we headed out to the area where they were serving breakfast. We were kind of surprised to see that there was a variety of breakfast foods to accommodate any persons appetite like oatmeal, cereal, waffles, sausage, orange juice, coffee and milk. We had only expected a continental breakfast of donuts and coffee for the price, which was $79 a night.

If you are planning a trip through Nashville Tennessee and are looking for a nice place to stay for a night or two, the LaQuinta Inn will not be a disappointment. You will be extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the courteousness of the staff. To this day, we always look for the nearest LaQuinta, and have not been disappointed yet.
