I picked up a few bars from a grocery store this time around, and one of the flavors I chose was the Cashew Cookie.
Price of
Cashew Cookie Larabar
One 1.7oz Larabar cost $1.29.

Taste of
Cashew Cookie Larabar
When I first bit into the cashew flavored Larabar I expected to taste a vibrant tasting bar, but none of the flavors really jumped out at me. The bar has unsalted cashews, which don't have much flavor, and the dates weren't sugary sweet, so the Cashew Cookie tasted quite bland to me. At the moment, my taste buds are accustomed to eating salt and sugar so maybe I couldn't detect the subtle flavors in this Larabar, but overall it really didn't do it for me flavor-wise.
I did like the firm consistency of it though, and even though it's small, it was filling enough to actually help to tide me over until my next meal. The Larabar also helped to give me a lot of energy - I could actually detect a slight buzzing feeling in my body after I ate it.
In the End...
I probably wouldn't choose the Cashew Cookie Larabar as my first choice if there were other flavors available, because the flavor is so faint. But I'd be willing to try it again occasionally on days when I want a quick boost of energy without a sugar rush. I'd recommend it for people who don't really care for sugary sweet foods, but I'd skip it if you're into stronger flavors.
