Statues are an amazing form of art work. Statues offer larger than life artistry that fascinate the sense of sight. Larger than life statues are available for viewing worldwide. Let's virtually travel to each statue by viewing photographs and videos.

King Neptune in Virginia Beach, Virginia

We will start off in my current state of Virginia and travel to the Virginia Beach oceanfront for a view of the captivating King Neptune statue. Click through the pictures in the article to view three pictures of the amazing King Neptune statue. King Neptune gets his name from the Romans who called him by the name of Neptune rather than Poseidon as the Greeks did in Greek mythology. Rather you call him Neptune or Poseidon he was ruler of the seas.

Jolly Green Giant in Blue Earth, Minnesota

We will stay in the U.S. for a time before traveling internationally. We land in Blue Earth, Minnesota at Green Giant Statue Park to view the ginormous emerald statue of the Jolly Green Giant. You know the commercials don't you? Ho, ho, ho, green giant! Check out the holiday version of the classic Jolly Green Giant commercial. Green Giant is the brand name for many frozen and canned vegetables. The Jolly Green Giant dates back to 1925 when he was created. The Jolly Green Giant statue is 55-Feet tall, he is a giant after all!

Pinocchio in Boras, Sweden

Let's travel to Sweden and view a giant Pinocchio along with his giant nose. The Pinocchio statue in Sweden was unvailed in 2008. The Walt Disney movie "Pinocchio" originally released on Feb. 23, 1940. The story starts with a toymaker named Geppetto who wishes for Pinocchio to be a real boy. The Blue Fairy grants Geppetto's wish. When Pinocchio tells lies his nose grows.

Jesus Christ in Swiebodzin, Poland

Time to go to Poland to view the world's largest statue of Jesus Christ. Poland's statue of Jesus was installed in Nov. 2010. Swiebodzin is a small town in Poland and the Jesus Christ statue towers an amazing 125 feet into the air. Most Christians believe Jesus Christ to be the incarnation of God. The teachings of Jesus are in the New Testament of the Bible.

Lord Shiva in Murudeshwar, India

The Lord Shiva statue is at the end of the clip so watch the entire clip for full enjoyment.

The beach town of Murudeshwar lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Lord Shiva is the third deity in Hinduism. Shiva is known as the destroyer of evil.

Nelson's Ship in a Bottle in London, England

View photographs of the largest ship in a bottle. Nelson's Ship in a Bottle is a replica of Nelson's flagship victory during the Battle of Trafalgar on Oct. 21, 1805. During the Battle of Trafalgar, Nelson died. The Battle of Trafalgar was a battle between the British Royal Navy and the Fleets of France and Spain. The British Royal Navy did win this battle but unfortunately lost Admiral Lord Nelson.

If you happen to travel to any of the statues please do take pictures and make a slideshow for us all to see.

Rather you are traveling in reality or virtually, have a great time!

Great article. Virtural traveling isn't as great as the real thing, but it beats never seeing it at all.
