Game Background

Gameplay

Basically, the objective of the game is to last as long as you can without having Doug, the town drunkard, throw you into bankruptcy with his alcoholic addiction.

You are McSweeny, the Alesman of the town Karryon. Your job is to serve ale to the fine customers of the Karryon. Your enemy is Doug. He will try to drink alcohol without paying for it. Dish out some punishment to him in a timely manner to avoid losing business.

The game will pick up rather quickly, though it begins slowly to help new players get adjusted to the mouse movements necessary to be successful later on when you will need to be much faster.

As customers hand you a mug, fill it up as much as you can. When you run out of ale, head to the back and get some more from the storage. Keep doing this until the day is over. The clock can be seen at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. You work a total of 8 hours a day. The bottom right hand corner of the screen will indicate how much ale you have left. The more ale you dish out, the more cash you will get.

During your business opening hours, Doug will try to drink alcohol for free, running to the back of the storage and hiding in barrels of ale. Knock him out before he drinks all of your alcohol.

At the end of each day, you will be able to upgrade the quality of your ale or other aspects of your business, including your weapon to deal with the town drunk Doug. You will use the cash that you have earned on a daily basis to purchase these fine upgrades.

LARRY: Doug-Out is a fun little reaction-based game that will truly test how well you can move your mouse around. The upgrade options and increasing level of difficulty and speed greatly add to the overall appeal of the game and help keep players playing for more.
