Larry's NFL Power Rankings After Week 11

Larry's NFL Power Rankings through week 11.

5) CINCINNATI BENGALS (7-3): Alright, calm down! I realize Cinci just laid an egg against the Raiders, but I'm giving them that one. We all remember the week 1 fluke. The Bengals lost to the Broncos after a ball which was batted away by a Bengals defender went right into the hands of Brandon Stokley who ran it 75 yards for a touchdown with just seconds to play. Cincinnati has already beaten the Ravens and Steelers twice, knocked off the Packers, and blew out the Bears. Thats a pretty impressive resume. Look for them to go deep into the playoffs.

4) NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (7-3): Fighting their way through one of the toughest schedules in the NFL, the Patriots have held their own. If it wasn't for a few costly mistakes which allowed the Colts to come all the way back from 17 down in the 4th quarter in week 10, The Patriots could very well be at the top of this list or at least in second. This will be a dangerous team down the stretch and into the playoffs as Tom Brady continues to return to his 2007 form, and this retooled defense continues to gel. A huge test as to where the Patriots stand will comes in week 12, on Monday night, as they travel to the Superdome to take on the undefeated New Orelans Saints.

3) MINNESOTA VIKINGS (9-1): Any team Adrian Peterson plays for should at least be in the top 10. However, couple him with Brett Favre, who is having one of the best seasons of his already Hall of Fame career, and you've got something special. Minnesota could be higher on this list if it wasn't for such an easy schedule, and running into Pittsburgh in one of the few games Troy Polamalu actually played this year. Lets also not forget about the Viking defense wich is one of the toughest in the league to run on.

2) NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-0): The Saints could very easily be number 1 on this list. They are off to their best start in franchise history. They are scoring points like the 2007 Patriots, who many consider to be the best offense in history. Despite a rather weak schedule, they do have a couple impressive victories, a 48-22 win at Philadelphia, and a 48-27 win hosting the Giants. Drew Brees has solidified his place as an elite Quaterback with the Mannings and Bradys of the world, and the Saints can run the rock down your throat with a number of different backs. The most surprising part of this team has been the performance of their defense. Although it is easy to play great defense when you're ahead by 3 touchdowns.

1) INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (10-0): What can we say about any other team in the NFL that we can't say about Indianapolis. They win every type of game and they can beat you in every possible way. The Colts have won 19 consecutive regular season, second only to New England's 21 in 2003-04. Peyton Manning leads a high powered offense and Dwight Freeney anchors a very good defense. After over coming a 17 point 4th quarter deficit to the Patriots, and following that up with another come from behind win against a very good Baltimore Ravens team, I have to put Indianapolis at No. 1.

Honorable Mentions:
6) San Diego Chargers (7-3)
7) Dallas Cowboys (7-3)
8) Arizona Cardinals (7-3)
9) Philadelphia Eagles (6-4)
10) New York Giants (6-4)
