Larry's NFL Power Rankings Thru Week 14

5) Philadelphia Eagles: (9-4): This offense is dangerous. There is not a team higher than the Eagles on this list that would be excited to play them in the playoffs. Donovan McNabb, like him or not, has been excellent this year. Even with Brian Westbrook sidelined the past few weeks this offense hasn't missed a beat. LeSean McCoy has done a great job filling in for Westbrook, and DeSean Jackson is emerging as a star in this league. Look out for Philly in January.

4) Minnesota Vikings: (11-2): Sure they had a stinker at Arizona a few weeks ago, but I'm not jumping off the Vikings bandwagon just yet. They just need to make sure they secure that first round bye and home playoff game. You're probably thinking, they have a 2 game lead over the Eagles, but consider that they close out the season at Carolina, at Chicago, and home against the Giants. That isn't the easiest schedule. If the Eagles win out, and the Vikings lose 2 of these games, there goes the bye, and they would most likely have to play two road games to get to the Super Bowl. Minnesota should coast to the NFC title game, as long as, they win 2 more regular season games.

3) San Diego Chargers: (10-3): The Chargers have won 8 straight and are the hottest team in the NFL over the past 2 months. However, we will learn a lot about this football team down the stretch. The Chargers host Cincinnati, visit the Titans, and the finish the season hosting the Redskins. Not a cake walk. Fortunately for the Chargers they only have to win 2 of the 3 to lock up a fist round bye. It will be interesting to see if the Chargers can win in January, something they haven't been very successful at, over the past decade. With Philip Rivers continuing to throw the ball at will, and the Chargers run attack resembling years past, I see San Diego visiting Indianapolis for a right to go to the Super Bowl.

2) Indianapolis Colts: (13-0): The Colts could very easily be first on this list. They are still unbeaten. They can blow you out, or come from behind and break your heart, and they have a very good defense to go along with a great offense. Indianapolis has a great chance to go 16-0. They will end the season with the Bills and Jets, who could very well be fighting for a playoff spot, or even the AFC East. Couple that with, the Colts potentially resting players down the stretch leaves doubt in their pursuit of perfection. However, the Colts will most likely have home field through out the playoffs, and I don't see many teams in the league that can go to Indianapolis and win in January.

1) New Orleans Saints: (13-0): The Saints edge out the Colts slightly for the #1 spot. Personally I'd rather have the New Orleans defense over Indy's, and given the fact the Saints still have a chance to break the 07' Patriots, points scored record, is the reasoning behind this decision. I don't see any scenario where the Saints don't make a trip to Miami to play in the Super Bowl. The Saints have all but locked up home field through out the playoffs, and they are great at home. Just ask the Giants and Patriots. The Saints WILL go 16-0 this season, that is, unless they decided to "over rest" their players down the stretch. How fun would it be if there were two 16-0 teams in the Super Bowl?

Honorable Mentions:
6) Arizona Cardinals (8-5)
7) Cincinnati Bengals (9-4)
8) Green Bay Packers (9-4)
9) Denver Broncos (8-5)
10) New England Patriots (8-5)
